Fused with Grace

Welcome to the new look of the Fuse Magazine!

Firstly, many thanks for those who have faithfully read and contributed to Fuse over the last dozen years. You have made my job easier than expected. The fact is I never expected to find myself in this particular job! Who would have thought it – not me!

Secondly, I'd like to introduce myself for those who do not know me. My name is Jo, as you can see from the picture above!

I came to the Lord at 15 and have been at Northcross Church since it opened back in the early 90s. I started writing the Fuse Magazine because Debbie used to write a youth newsletter called 'Fuel' that went out four times a year. I wrote in one of the newsletter and one of the youth went up to me asking me "when is the next 'Fuse' coming out?"

After that, Debbie asked me to start writing it as I loved writing poetry. Which is funny because I'm Dyslexic. Through God's grace, I have been able to create the Fuse Magazine for 12 years now!

Anyway, time marches on, and with it changes in computerisation. So many changes. The software package I was using becomes obsolete in a couple of months. On one hand this is a good thing because it releases me from conforming to its restrictions, thus allowing more freedom, less hours required, and the ongoing cost of printing. On the other hand, however, the need to retrain is stretching my aging brain (can’t I just play golf?)

Bea has been very patient with me in this regard. Hopefully my existing readers will be also. The new format will be online every Thursday, if I manage it, allowing new readers to recognise something short, snappy and hopefully, edifying to their busy lives.

Thank you Bea!
