Pastor Andrew Neville

Andrew was a pastor in a Baptist church for over 20 years. He has a passion for preaching God’s Word and a heart for serving God’s people.

Born in New Zealand, Andrew spent his formative years in Singapore where his parents were employed in the education sector. As well as being exposed to a variety of Asian cultures
he lived in England for a year.

Andrew continued his education in New Zealand at Rangitoto College and the University of Auckland. He has a Masters Degree in Geography.

In his teens Andrew’s lifestyle was typical of Kiwi males, and rugby was his passion. Although he came from a well-known Brethren family he chose to stop attending church. Everything seemed to be going along well, but he realised there was something missing in his life. Coming under deep conviction that he was far from God, Andrew trusted the Lord Jesus Christ for his salvation in September 1982 aged 22.

After leaving University Andrew worked in media research. He resigned to study and prepare for pastoral ministry. He was called by the East Coast Bays Bible Baptist Church, to be their pastor in 1988. The fellowship grew considerably. In November 2008 Andrew and most of his congregation accepted an invitation to combine with Northcross Community Church to form a new Bible-based, community-oriented fellowship, with Andrew as Senior Pastor

Andrew and his wife Yvonne have three children – Tim, Ethan and Anna. In his down time Andrew enjoys playing almost any sport (especially touch rugby and tennis) and fishing.
