Where we are serving:

carlWe are Carl and Kathy Most. We are a cross cultural family. Carl, born and raised in New Zealand, and Kathy, born in the USA and raised in several countries as a missionary child. After training and serving for several years in ministry in New Zealand, the Lord called the Most family in 1995 to serve Him in full time missions. We have had the pleasure of serving the Nicaraguan people for the past 14 years. It has been quite a journey and over the years we have found ourselves working in a wide variety of areas: short term teams, orphanages, discipleship classes, etc.

In January of 2005, we began serving with Caribbean Ministries Association, whose main focus is to equip church leaders for the work of the ministry. Partnering with the Nehemiah Center, here in Nicaragua, we have initiated a youth leadership development program. This program equips church leaders to better serve at-risk youth and their families, while challenging the leaders to step outside their church walls. As recent empty nesters, Kathy now has more time to be able to join Carl in ministering in various parts of the country. She also continues to serve in the ministry of evangelizing and discipling young teen mums as they focus on health and family, God’s Word and vocational skills.

What we are learning:

We are learning that faithfulness to God in the little things brings with it the opportunity to do greater things. We are learning that where He leads us He goes with us, enabling us to do much more than we could ever hope or imagine. We are learning that as we touch people’s lives with the truths of the Word, it not only brings change in them, but also in us. Making the Word vibrant, real and applicable to whatever situation we find ourselves in. We are learning that no matter how dense the darkness is that we may find ourselves in, the presence and light of Christ always gives us reason to hope and believe that in Christ all things are possible.
